Love the sexy vibe at The Consulate. Beautiful seating and rich decor featuring great seating areas. Menu changes every three months to discover the best flavors of another country. Unique concept and friendly staff. Enjoyed the separation of seating verses over crowded table space in other restaurant.

The Consulate is an amazing place to enjoy global food, craft cocktails and aesthetically pleasing decor! The restaurant is located conveniently downtown and has accessible parking (make sure to get it validated). Dishes are served tapas style and everything that I tried was memorable! In love with the James Bond inspired bathroom. I will definitely be back and recommend to friends!

One of my favorite spots. It's literally a tour around the culinary world every quarter or so. Great servers, bartenders, and even met a very grateful owner once!! I will never get tired of this spot!!!

Our server was wonderful. The food was pretty good overall. Adding salt to my dish really took it to the next level. I could not get enough (Lamb Tibs). The Jerk Chicken skewers were really dry but the flavor was excellent! The octopus came in a sauce that I did not care for. The flavors in it were just off. But the Octopus itself was cooked well. My friend ordered the BBQ Pork and raved about it. Overall a great restaurant and I will definitely be returning to try more dishes!

Best concept restaurant and one of the only remaining top quality places to dine in Midtown. Owned by a super duo husband designer & chef wife, this place is the epitome of thoughtful design and craftsmanship from the decor to the dishes to their delicious cocktails. It’s one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. Currently offering Venezuelan food but with plenty of other delicious local & international food options. Check it out!

We have definitely found our new favorite restaurant in Atlanta. It’s the perfect atmosphere; amazing food, great drinks and cool people. Last night was our first time and we didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar and it was a great decision. Clay and Dupree made the experience one we will certainly be returning for. They gave amazing service and the best food and drink recommendations but to be fair I don’t think there’s anything on the menu that isn’t amazing. Thanks for turning a random Saturday night into a great experience!

DOPE!! I cannot wait to have friends in town so I can show them this cool place. My husband ate his food and mine lol I was stuffed after those amazing appetizers! They're serving Zambian food until April. Then it's onto Spain! The left side of the menu is always changing according to the location of the cuisine. The right side is worldwide favorites. Yup out can't go wrong. Of course I had to checkout the famous 007 bathroom!

We really enjoyed our dinner here, all the food was excellent although the prices are pretty high for the portion you get, but I guess that’s Atlanta for you. Only complaint was my cocktail, it was filled with slushy ice and ended up tasting really watery, would have been better with a different style of ice. However the atmosphere is wonderful and the food was great, will definitely be back!

This place is pretty darn cool. They have a rotating menu featuring new countries every season. The food is amazing and the ambiance is outstanding. The service is also pretty good. I took away 1 star because they do have smaller portions. Be prepared to spend a good amount of money to actually fill you up or plan on going to eat a snack somewhere before or after you eat here!

Very nice restaurant in a quiet part of midtown, right below Google Atlanta. You wouldn't notice the hip atmosphere from outside. Very original & switches cuisines every now & then. Tried it twice & both times were excellent. Reserve ahead of time & prepare to wait a bit. Right next to midtown Marta exit, so very accessible, with parking nearby too.

It was overall a decent experience. But we came in with very high expectations from their previous reviews that we had read. While we were there the food was average. We had eaten at three places in the neighborhood that were much better than this and less expensive.

Went to eat for my Birthday dinner. Food was ok overall. I'd give it a B. One dish was not so good. The seared scallops were a bit overcooked, lacked salt, and the puree tasted like baby food. This is a dish we get anytime it is on a menu. This time it just did not taste good. We returned most of the dish. The manager came out and apologized and told us he was taking it off the bill. We got our bill and he only discounted it by 25 percent. We had returned most of the dish yet we still had to pay for 75 percent of the dish. We told the manager and he did not care. Enough said. I would never return to this mediocre restaurant.

This is such a cool, unique place. With part of the menu rotating to a different country every 90 days, you get to try new things. The regular menu items are amazing. Their cocktails are really good, too. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere and theme is super neat. We picked this place since it was a tapas place near our hotel and we were definitely not disappointed and we highly recommend it.

It seemed like this would be a great experience, but it fell short. The cocktail we ordered was undrinkable, just pure alcohol and no flavor, and it was suggested that we had an unsophisticated palate and couldn't appreciate it (yeah, really). I ordered a steak cooked medium, it came well done. Not medium well, well done. They completely forgot the salad we asked for and never mentioned it.The environment was interesting, somewhat eclectic and lacking its own style, but nice enough to enjoy. For tapas size plates, the prices were more like entree prices. In fairness, the food was decent butIt wasn't a good enough experience to make me want to go back.

The Consulate is now one of my favorite places in Atlanta. The ambiance is so funky, yet relaxing. We sorta felt like we were in some 1960s European spy film or maybe an Austin Powers flick with a little more finesse...very eclectic. As for the food and drinks...everything was spectacular. However, I need to call out a couple by making a few bold claims. First up, The Diplomat is potentially the Best Burger in Atlanta. Really, it will hit your buds in all the right places. Second, The "Spanish Style" gin tonic is one of the best cocktails in the city. While packed with complex flavors, it is so perfectly balanced you will likely want another.Lastly, The Consulate changes part of the menu every 90 days to another county's cuisine so check the website.

Nice and welcoming place. Very conveniently located close to the MARTA station (not too common for Atlanta), hidden behind tiny plaza away from traffic. I love their idea of short “seasons” of world cuisine (somewhat like “special on steroids”) - side-by-side with short list of permanent favorites. Quite tasty (although not everything was 100% hit for me), and the effort and constantly updating variety are certainly appreciated. Definitely worth coming back for a new interesting menu items. There is a puzzling collection of a plastic guns on the restroom wall: it was clashing hard with overall restaurant atmosphere and “global” theme of the menu (wouldn’t be that surprised if I saw it in some “sports” bar).

Ultra hip... one of the coolest and eclectic places in Atlanta. That atmosphere is very laid back in a shabby chic setting with separate rooms including two huge pearl leather clam-shell booths. We went for Happy Hour and will definitely come back to sample some of their worldly cuisine.Fabulous cocktails, great bartenders and staff.

I've been twice. First experience was unreal. The food drinks. Service, atmosphere were impeccable. Second time was 4 star (just a couple small misses). Biggest complaint: when guests reserve for the first night of a new visa menu, they expect both the kitchen and the bar to be prepared to serve that new menu. The bar was not serving their new menu on night one. At this level, that's a miss. Otherwise, a fantastic experience that rivals any restaurant I've been to in Atlanta.

My friend and I had a delightful evening at The Consulate. The tapas menu is vegetarian-friendly and the cocktails creative and tasty. Our server, Mariah, offered sound guidance on all aspects of the menu. The pacing was very pleasant and we stayed for three hours on a Friday night without being rushed. Don't miss the arepas while Venezuela is featured and the Moroccan Sunset was the cocktail hit.

The restaurant is a bit hidden and set back off of 10th Street. But Google maps takes you to the correct location. Great, funky decor. One of the very nice things is how quiet the space is. You can easily carry on a conversation. The menu changes every 3 months to keep things fresh and interesting. The bar makes craft cocktails which can take a good while to receive if the restaurant is busy. Food is tapas style and very tasty but a bit pricey for what you get. Service is good and the staff knows the menu, cocktails, and wines very well.

Really unique restaurant. I enjoyed the vibe and experience. I was surprised there weren't more people there. I visited during the Moroccan Experience. They only had a few dishes that were from Morroco - I would expect a lot more from the region but they are still cycling through previous country dishes. All in all, a good meal.
